How foreclosure sales work in Harrison County

Harrison County follows the statewide calendar for trustee sales: auctions under a deed of trust are held on the first Tuesday of each month, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the spot the Commissioners Court has designated at or near the courthouse in the Harrison County seat. Bidding is public and usually cash or certified funds.

Notices must be filed with the Harrison County Clerk and posted at least 21 days before the first-Tuesday sale. For the official copy of any notice, go to the clerk's Harrison County foreclosure notice page; AuctionEmber compiles from these public filings. Tax-foreclosure auctions follow a court judgment and are handled by the sheriff or a constable, not a trustee.

A posted notice is not a guarantee of an auction. Loans get reinstated, sales are postponed, and notices are re-filed for a later month; whatever sells is sold as is, without warranties.

Due-diligence tip: treat any list, including ours, as a starting point. Read the full notice at the Harrison County Clerk, look for other liens and back taxes, drive by the property, and verify the sale status with the trustee before auction day.

This is general information, not legal, financial or investment advice. Talk to a Texas real-estate attorney before you bid.
