How foreclosure sales work in Clark County

Nevada mortgage foreclosures are usually non-judicial trustee sales. After the notice of default and a waiting period of at least three months, the trustee records, posts and publishes a notice of sale for three weeks, then auctions the property at the place the notice names. Many sales are postponed, so check the date right before the sale.

Bidders generally pay in certified funds at or soon after the sale, as the notice states. Once a trustee sale is complete there is no right of redemption. Court-ordered sheriff sales follow a judgment and have their own rules.

Our Nevada data comes from a trustee's published pending-sales report and the county sheriff's sale list where available. It does not include every sale; more coming.

This is general information, not legal, financial or investment advice. Talk to a Nevada real-estate attorney before you bid.

Clark County foreclosure FAQ

When is the next foreclosure sale in Clark County, Nevada?

The next scheduled sale date in our data is October 28, 2026. Nevada trustee sales are held at the place named in the notice of sale, often a courthouse entrance or a trustee or posting-company office; sales are often postponed, so confirm with the trustee first.

How does a Nevada foreclosure reach a sale?

Most Nevada foreclosures are non-judicial trustee sales under a deed of trust (NRS 107.080). The trustee records a notice of default, waits at least three months, then records, posts and publishes a notice of sale for three weeks before the auction.

Can the former owner get the property back after the sale?

Not after a completed trustee sale: Nevada gives no right of redemption once a trustee sale is final. Court-ordered sheriff sales can be different, so read the judgment and talk to a Nevada attorney before bidding.
