About Maryland foreclosure auctions
Maryland foreclosures are quasi-judicial. A substitute trustee dockets the case in circuit court, the sale is advertised once a week for three weeks, and a licensed auctioneer sells the property, usually at the courthouse. The circuit court must ratify the sale before settlement (Md. Rule 14-305).
Unpaid property taxes are handled through county tax lien certificate sales rather than these property auctions.
Our Maryland data comes from auctioneers' and trustees' published sale lists. It does not cover every sale yet; more coming. New to auctions? Read the investor FAQ.
